Re-utilizing your checkout aisle for fresh foods impulse buys


Currently, a vast majority of retailers utilize small, simple beverage merchandisers as end-caps for their check-out lanes. As customers have matured and grown, their desire for differing products has increased as well. The use of an open refrigerated merchandiser in place of the single task beverage unit allows the retailer to promote a much wider array of fresh product, that incidentally also have a much higher profit margin and/or return.
